Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 64 dated 18 June 1940 regarding the transfer of responsibility for meat distribution in the ghetto from the butchers to their assistants due to evidence of corruption and black-marketeering among the butchers Rumkowski announces that several butchers have been arrested and he wants the butchers to know that should it be necessary, he will not hesitate to fight them until the end.
