Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 417, dated 02 August 1944 regarding relocation of the ghetto By order of the Mayor, the ghetto is being relocated; notification of relocation of the factory workers and their families; the first transport will leave, 03 August 1944; every day 5,000 people will depart from the ghetto; 15-20 kg. luggage may be taken; list of the factories being relocated in the first transport.
