Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 31 dated 03 May 1940 permitting homeless families to occupy single rooms in the new area annexed to the ghetto The families must inform the Department for Distribution of Apartments that they are occupying these rooms; those without a permit will be evicted; landlords are forbidden to charge rent.
