Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 278, dated 04 June 1941 declaring a curfew in the ghetto in reaction to shooting on German guard positions Curfew will be imposed from 21:00 Friday evening, 6 June1941, until 20:00 Saturday evening, 07 June1941, in reaction to shots fired by unknown shooters towards German guard positions on the night of 27 May 1941; only those with special passes may move about.
