Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 183, dated 21 December 1941 including the strict prohibition against the destruction of wooden houses and the stealing of wood Despite the serious shortage in coal and heating materials, it is strictly forbidden to destroy wooden houses or to steal wood; anyone caught stealing wood will be imprisoned.
