Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 173, dated 04 December 1940 regarding payment for food distribution No. 16 Payment for food distribution No. 16 is to be made starting 04 December 1940; itemization of the components of the ration and its cost; the house committees are responsible for distributing the food to the tenants, the rations may not be sold to other people; house committees that do not distribute the rations will be punished.
