Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 171, dated 03 December 1940 regarding mobilization of medical personnel in the ghetto All nurses and midwives must report to the hospitals; medical personnel are now directly assigned to the Director of the ghetto Health Department; resistance to this order will lead to dismissal from one's job and three months' detention in prison.
