Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 166, dated 19 November 1940, regarding registration of 600 healthy, robust men for work outside the ghetto Applicants will undergo a medical examination in the ghetto and an examination by German doctors; those accepted will receive food and lodging, and their salary will be paid to their families in the ghetto. Registration will commence on 24 November 1940.
