Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 157, dated 06 November 1940, revoking the right of the house committees to collect money for house maintenance Effective 1 November 1940, house committees may no longer collect money for maintenance; they must transfer all money and documents in their possession to the house administrators who will be responsible for house maintenance on behalf of the Finance Department. As of 01 November 1940, the house guards will receive their salary from the Judenalteste budget.
