Postcard written by Lavinia Limentani to her daughter Matilde Bassani from the period Matilde spent in the prison in Ferrara due to antifascist activities, 12 June 1943; letter from a friend in Buttrio, 11 July 1943 - On 11 June 1943 Matilde was arrested with comrades in her activities following their being charged with subversive activities against the regime. They were held under arrest in the prison in Ferrara, where she remained in detention until the deposition of Benito Mussolini, 25 July 1943.
