The third regulation for implementation of the Law on the Legal Status of Jewish Religious Organizations [communities] (Dritte Verordnung zur Durchfuehrung des Gesetzes ueber die Rechtsverhaltnisse der Juedischen Kultusvereinigung ) regarding terminating the [official status of] the Jewish community framework, 25 March 1942 - Copy of the regulation regarding resignation from Jewish community institutions [ratified] in order to prevent resignations by the German Jews; the regulation was ratified due to increased pressure by Jews who thought that they could escape deportation to the East by resignation from the Jewish community institutions; - Copy of the letter from Sturmbannfuehrer friedrich Suhr, from SIPO and SD headquarters to the Reichsminister fuer Kirchlischen Angelegenheiten (Minister for Church Matters), 18 February 1942; Friedrich Suhr was appointed by Goering to oversee the solution of the "Jewish Question" in Europe; the letter documents the reasons for proposing the law and its internal, political and social meaning as well as its implications for the Reich Association of the Jews in Germany.
