M.1.B - Documentation of the office of the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone , 1945-1948 This Subsection contains the correspondence of the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews (CHC) with its various branches in the DP camps, Jewish leaders and institutions in different countries, and the German municipal authorities. The correspondence deals mainly with gathering documentation regarding the Holocaust, cultural activity in the DP camps and the editorial work of the CHC.

M.1.B - תיעוד של משרד הוועדה ההיסטורית המרכזית של ועד היהודים המשוחררים באיזור הכיבוש האמריקני, מינכן, 1948-1945 בתת החטיבה התכתבות של הוועדה ההיסטורית המרכזית של ועד היהודים המשוחררים על ענפיה השונים במחנות העקורים, מנהיגים יהודים ומוסדות יהודיים בארצות שונות והרשויות הגרמניות העירוניות. ההתכתבות עוסקת בעיקר באיסוף תיעוד בנושא השואה, הפעילות התרבותית במחנות העקורים ועבודת העריכה של הוועדה ההיסטורית המרכזית.
