Archival History
In the late 1980’s Giorgos Liolios discovered the archive scattered in a random research he was performing in the warehouse of the Municipality of Veria. The warehouse was being evacuated to be demolished. From the scattered archive he managed to retrieve the body of five electoral lists of the parishes of the Municipality of Veria. The archive was donated to the General State Archives - Regional Archives of Imathia in 2013.
Scope and Content
The archive consistis of electoral lists for the years 1927-1949 of: Parish of Agios Ioannis, Parish of Agios Antonios, Kyriotissa Parish, Municipality of Veria, Parish of Agios Georgios, of all the parishes.
The lists contain names of Jews residing in Veria.
