Biographical History

Moshe Pesach (1869, Larissa - November 13, 1955, Volos) was the rabbi of Volos from 1892 until his death and Chief Rabbi of Greece from 1946. Through his efforts and with the help of Greek authorities, the majority of the city's Jewish community avoided deportation to death camps during the Holocaust.

Scope and Content

Photocopies of pages of periodicals that include articles about Moshe Pesach, and publications about the Jewish Community of Volos.
