Biographical History
Židovské osídlení je v Postřižíně doloženo od poloviny 19. století. Po 2. světové válce nebyla obec obnovena.
Acquisition
Archiválie se dostaly do židovského muzea v Praze za druhé světové války v rámci svozů historicky cenných předmětů a písemností zrušených židovských náboženských obcí Čech a Moravy.
Scope and Content
Fond je pouhým torzem, obsahuje knihy hrobů a další knihy pohřebního bratrstva. Finanční knihy pohřebního bratrstva jsou vedeny do r. 1940. Připojen je zlomek spisové agendy obce z let 1941–1942.

Fond je zpracován, ale není inventarizován.

Biographical History
Jewish settlement in Postřižín is recorded from the mid-19th century. The Jewish community was not re-established after the Second World War.
Acquisition
The documents were taken to the Jewish Museum as part of the wartime shipment of artefacts and documents from Jewish Religious Communities liquidated during the WWII.
Scope and Content
This fonds is fragmentary and contains a graves registers and other burial society registers. It also contains the burial society's financial registers (maintained until 1940) and fragmentary files relating to the community from 1941–1942.
