    Comb with case kept by 11 year Lilly (Karoline) Schischa when she was sent on a Kindertransport from Austria to Great Britain on July 13, 1939. It was a kit made for use while traveling. In March 1938, Nazi Germany marched into Austria and made it part of the Third Reich. Jewish persecution. The clothing store owned by Lilly's parents, Wilhelm and Johanna, in Wiener Neustadt was seized. Lilly's brother, Edi, age 24, left for Palestine in October 1938.     The Clippings Archive of the Second Resistance, known since 1942 as the Czechoslovak Archives in New York, was part of the Czechoslovak Information Center in New York and is associated with the name of its founder, Arne Laurin.     New Process Co. leather medical bag owned by Berthold Salzmann or his sister Ernesta, two Viennese Jewish medical students who immigrated to America as refugees. In the 1930s they were studying to become physicians at the Medical School of the University of Vienna. On March 13, 1938 Germany annexed Austria and created new legislation that restricted Jewish life.
