History

The Stockholm City Archive (SSA) preserves and manages information from the City of Stockholm and Stockholm County. The oldest documents in the archive are from the end of the 14th century. Today, the City Archives is responsible for the city's information.

Since 2019, the City Archives have two facilities in the city, one at Kungsklippan 6 on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, and since 2019, one at Stadsarkivet Liljeholmskajen at Sjöviksvägen 126 in Årstadal, which holds an extensive collection of drawings.

Collections that include Holocaust related material, like the archive of the City of Stockholm's Relief Committee for Stateless Refugees, and private of archive of Consul General Olof H. Lamm, are in the facility on Kungsholmen.
