The archive in Radzyń Podlaski came into existence in 1976 according to theOrder of Chief-Director of State Archives as a branch of Voivodship State Archive in Lublin In 1984 it was renamed the branch of Lublin State Archive

Nowadays. The branch of Lublin State Archive in Radzyń Podlaski works on the ground of the Act on National Archival Records and Archives of July 14, 1983, Journal of Law (Dziennik Ustaw) No 38, 1983.07.19 with later changes.

Building(s)

The Archive was located in Potocki Palace in Międzyrzecka (Jana Pawła II) street. In September 2010 it was relocated to the building in gen. Kleeberga street.

Archival and Other Holdings

The archive in Radzyń Podlaski possesses the collection of the former County State Archive in Łuków which is gradually supplied by documents of factories and local administration. The holdings of Radzyń Podlaski archive consists of 19th and 20th century documents: 640 collections and archival founds, which makes120913 units and1200 running meters. The documents are mostly concerned: state and local administration, special administration (statistical offices and revenue offices), charitable organization (RGO), judiciary, schools, trade-unions and political parties.

Opening Times

The archive's holdings are available in the workroom open Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday 9.00 - 15.00, Wednesday 9.00 - 18.00.

Conditions of Access

The access is regulated by Instruction No. 4 of the Head Office of State Archives in Poland, dated February 1, 2013.
