History

The archives of the municipalities of Delft, Rijswijk (ZH), Pijnacker, Nootdorp, Delft and Maasland are based in the Archives of Delft. The municipalities Schipluiden and Maasland were merged in 2004 in Central Delfland. The archives are located in a canal house that dates back to the 17th century.

Opening Times

The reading room of the Archives of Delft is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm.

Accessibility

The walking distance from the railway station Delft to the Archives of Delft is approximately 7 minutes. Parking is available in the nearby garage Phoenix (Phoenix Straat 29).

Research Services

Staff members are always available for any questions concerning your research. They are identified by a nameplate on their desk. On your first visit, it is possible for them to introduce you to the affairs of archival and library research, offer help with the use of accesses, archives and equipment.

Reproduction Services

It is possible to get copies of most documents. They are supplied as soon as possible. For large numbers of copies a delivery time of up to 14 days is needed.
