    Anatolijus Rozenbliumas gimė 1902 m. liepos 30 d. Balstogėje, Lenkijoje. Berniukas buvo jauniausias iš penkių vaikų provizoriaus ir muzikės šeimoje. Netrukus su tėvais persikėlė į Kauną ir 1912–1914 m. bei 1918–1920 m. mokėsi Kauno žydų berniukų gimnazijoje. Per Pirmąjį pasaulinį karą šeima buvo pasitraukusi į Vitebską, kur A. Rozenbliumas baigė Vitebsko gimnaziją. 1922 m. vieną semestrą studijavo Vienos Aukštosios technikos mokyklos Statybos fakultete, 1927 m. baigė Kioteno aukštąją pramonės mokyklą. Netrukus ėmė sėkmingai dirbti inžinieriumi Berlyne, bet, šalyje sustiprėjus nacizmui, 1929...

    Šeinė Sideraitė gimė 1921-02-09 Lazdijuose. 1932 m. baigė Lazdijų žydų pradžios mokyklą, kurioje mokėsi hebrajų kalba. 1932–1940 m. mokėsi Lazdijų „Žiburio“ gimnazijoje. 1940–1941 m. studijavo Kauno Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto Medicinos fakultete. 1941 m. vasarą evakavosi į Sovietų Sąjungą ir apsigyveno Tadžikijoje. 1941–1945 m. studijavo Stalinabado (dabar Dušanbė, Tadžikija) Medicinos institute bei dirbo preparatore, medicinos seserimi, gydytoja. 1945 m. grįžo į Lietuvą ir buvo priimta į Vilniaus valstybinio universiteto Medicinos fakulteto 5-ąjį kursą.     He was born on August 15, 1911 in Kalvarija. In 1934 he graduated from the Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University. In 1935 began writing in Jewish periodical. In 1940-1941 he was working in Jewish newspaper Der Emes office. In the years of Second World War he was a soldier in Lithuanian 16th division of the Red Army. He was an author of few novel, many articles, translator into Yiddish, was author of few screen scripts. He died on November 9, 1995 in Vilnius.

    The Germans created two Nazi-puppet states, the Nezavisna Drazava Hrvatska, which included Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, which was occupied by the Wehrmacht. The NDH was run by Ante Pavelic, who headed the Ustase movement. There were 2 million Serbs in the NDH as well as 700,000 Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks), 40,000 Jews, and 28,500 Roma. Officials in the NDH considered Serbs, Jews and Roma ‘outside the law’.

    Velika Župa was the highest regional authority in the Independent State of Croatia. It was responsible only to the Poglavnik Ante Pavelić, who personally named its leader, and to the respective state ministries. Velika Župa Posavje was founded on 10 June 1941 with the seat in the contemporary town of Slavonski Brod and continued to function until 1945. Velika Župa Posavje included the administrative units (kotar) of Bijeljina, Brčko, Brod na Savi, Derventa, Gradačac and Županja.

    Ona Šimaitė - a librarian at Vilnius University, used her position to aid and rescue Jews in the Vilna Ghetto. Born in Akmenė on 6 January 1894 and later educated in Moscow, Šimaitė became a librarian at Vilnius University in 1940. After the Nazi invasion and the creation of the Vilna Ghetto in 1941 she began entering the ghetto under the pretext of recovering library books from Jewish university students.     Hungarian extreme right-wing politician, administrative expert, one of the most influential antisemitic public figures in wartime Hungary. He served as the subprefect of Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County from 1938 to 1944. In March 1944, he was appointed undersecretary of state of the Ministry of the Interior, and as such was primarily responsible for the deportation of the Hungarian Jews. He was a government commissioner for the military operational zone under the Szálasi government. He was sentenced to death and executed after the war.
