Jokūbas Josadė
General Context
He was born on August 15, 1911 in Kalvarija. In 1934 he graduated from the Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University. In 1935 began writing in Jewish periodical. In 1940-1941 he was working in Jewish newspaper Der Emes office. In the years of Second World War he was a soldier in Lithuanian 16th division of the Red Army. He was an author of few novel, many articles, translator into Yiddish, was author of few screen scripts. He died on November 9, 1995 in Vilnius.
