  1. Fiedler family collection

    Contains an identification document issued to Oskar Fiedler, a Jewish refugee in Shanghai, China during the war. Also contains a certificate for innoculation and vaccination for Berta Fiedler, in Shanghai, dated 1949.

  2. Leon Leiberg collection

    Consists of a handwritten note, dated September 16, 1944 consisting of addresses and short messages written by captured British soldiers Leon Leiberg, Max Lampel, Sam Frayman, and Lucien Gottlieb as they were being transported to Mauthausen. They gave the note to a German soldier, Erich Bottcher. Also includes a letter, dated May 17, 1950, which was written by Erich Bottcher and sent to Leiberg (along with the note) in which Bottcher claimed to have befriended the British soldiers and was interested in what happened to them.

The letter indicates that the bearer of the letter is under the protection of Spain.     • Das Archiv umfasst aktuell etwa 70 Regalmeter Schriftgut, von denen bislang etwa 50 Meter erschlossen sind. Hinzu kommen ca. 5.000 Fotos, 1.000 Bände zeitgenössische Literatur aus der NS-Zeit, eine recht umfassende Sammlung nationalsozialistischer Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, eine Plakat- und Flugblattsammlung und eine kleine museale Sammlung von ca. 150 dreidimensionalen Objekten. Das Medienarchiv enthält zudem ungefähr 50 Zeitzeugeninterviews sowie einige historische Filmaufnahmen.

    Kernstück der Sammlung sind zum einen Hunderte Zeitzeugenberichte, die zum überwiegenden Teil als schriftliche Zeugnisse, teilweise aber auch als Audios vorliegen. Zum anderen sind es Nachlässe und Deposita einzelner Personen, die wie die gesamte Sammlung des DZOK eine große thematische Bandbreite abdecken.
