Advanced query tips

There are several ways to be more specific in your search query:

"Phrase"
Search an exact match of your query, e.g. "Member lists"
+Phrase
Given word has to be in the result, e.g. +Gestapo
-Phrase
Exclude given word from search, e.g. -Gestapo

Use the following syntax to restrict the search to specific fields:

field:"phrase"
For instance, you can find all descriptions that have the phrase "Auschwitz Birkenau" in their titles by searching for title:"Auschwitz Birkenau".

  11. Helena Manaster memoirs

    Testimony, three versions (questionnaire, typed, and handwritten, all photocopied), from Manaster, originally of Lesko, Poland, described her experiences.

  18. Helen H. Waterford manuscripts

    Consists of the original manuscript of "Commitment to the Dead: One Woman's Journey Towards Understanding" (251 pages) and a revised first draft (139 pages) of the same by Helen H. Waterford. The manuscript is Helen Waterford's personal testimony of persecution and suffering during her imprisonment in Auschwitz and Kratzau (a.k.a. Chrastava). Inserted into the text are questions and comments for Waterford's many lectures. Both the original manuscript and first draft are marked heavily with notations by an editor.

  19. Records of the Office of the Judge Advocate General (Army) French war crimes cases

    Consists of microfilm reels containing depositions, photographs, and descriptions of incidents relating to alleged war crimes committed in France by German troops, the SS, and the Gestapo given to War Crimes Group, United States Forces, European Command (EUCOM). The incidents described involve episodes of murder, torture, and arson directed at French civilians during the Holocaust.
