The interviews were produced as research for the book "The Altruistic Personality," by Dr. Samuel Oliner and Pearl Oliner. Interviews are in English, Polish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, and Dutch.

    The Sydney Goodman papers include a diary, correspondence, subject files, and photographs relating to Sydney’s experiences as a Jewish American soldier who was captured as a POW during the Battle of the Bulge and sent to Stalag IX B and Berga an der Elster as a forced laborer. Sydney began his diary shortly before he was captured in 1944 and continued writing until liberation in 1945. He wrote on the back of 36 family photographs about his experiences as a POW at Stalga IXB and Berga and kept a list of those who died. Some of the material concerns the Jewish population and cooperation with the Żydowska Samopomoc Społeczna, ŻSS (Jüdische Soziale Selbsthilfe).

  5. Max Mittelmark painting

    Painting: created in 1959, illustrating the experiences of Max Mittelmark, born in 1906 in Strojinetz, Bukovina [present day Ukraine] and deported to Transnistria where he was confined to the Bersad ghetto and experienced horrible livingg conditions which are described in his artwork. He and his wife Fanny survived, returned to Romania and eventually came to the United States in the late 1950s.

    A survey on antisemitism conducted by José Moskovits in the 1970s by mailing a questionnaire on antisemitism to almost 5,000 dignitaries in 150 countries worldwide.
