  1. Institut d'Histoire du Temps Présent map collection

    This collection contains color reproductions of 14 maps from the Institut d'Histoire du Temps Présent. The maps were created by representatives of the Comité d'Histoire de la Deuxieme Guerre Mondiale. They document refugee campsites, deportations, battle and campaign locations, atrocity sites, and resistance and anti-Nazi activity sites throughout France during World War II. Also included is statistical data reflecting the number of deportees, refugees, and prisoners in various locations.

  2. Florian de la Comble collection

    The Florian de la Comble collection consists of a photocopy of a map dictated by M. Jean Simon and drawn by Colonel Florian de la Comble of the route used by Banyuls people to assist refugees into Spain. Also includes three large copyprints of photographs: one of an image from the top of a mountain in the Pyrenees showing a beachfront town below; one of the train station in Banyuls-sur-Mer (undated, possibly 1930s) with the town in the background; and one of the plaza in front of the train station with four people and a horse-drawn cart (undated).

  3. Alicia Altmueller collection

    The Alicia Altmueller collection consists of three letters written in August 1947 by three survivors requesting assistance (warm clothing, shoes, physical support) from Mr. J. Garfinkel, Kiever Independent Unterstuzung Verein (KIUV). The three survivors wrote KIUV on behalf of themselves, family and friends from Campo Adriatico IRO, Milan DP. The IRO supported camp was also referred to as Transit Camp Bari, located in Apulia. Names in the letters are as follows: Miriam Kegen along with unnamed husband and daughter, Aron Bakalchuk and Lucy Bakalchuk, Girsch Goberman and Sonia Goberman (née T...
