    This collection consists primarily of typescript extracts from the official organ of the NSDAP Auslandsorganisation. It appears that the extracts were compiled contemporaneously, possibly by the JCIO. The date of the last extract, January 1936, gives some indication as to the date of completion.   16. Arnold Rosé: copt documents re wartime musical activities

    The collection was deposited at the Wiener Library on the instruction of Richard Newman, co-author of Alma Rosé: Vienna to Auschwitz, Amadeus, USA, 2000. Alma Rosé was Arnold's daughter and became the conductor of the Auschwitz orchestra, where she died in 1944. Whilst the book obviously focuses on the experiences of Alma there is substantial biographical account of many members of the family including her father and his relation to the Mahler family.

  20. Siegfried Rotholz: personal papers

    These mostly original personal papers of Siegfried Rotholz, a German Jewish former resident of Berlin, who was transported to Australia on the 'Dunera', document his experiences as a refugee and his attempts to gain restitution money from the German government. Of particular interest is his account of the trip on the 'Dunera', replete with descriptions of the suffering endured by the internees, 847/3.
