  1. Israel Barzilai personal archives (RG-95-15), ישראל ברזילי

    Personal archives of Israel Barzilai (1913-1970) contains letters, personal documents, reports on his mission in France during WWII, council's meetings, lectures, speeches, records related to Israeli government and Knesset elections, papers on operation "Sinai" and afterwards.

  2. Scrapbooks of German news clippings

    Contains four volumes of scrapbooks compiled by Siegfried Wenzel, as a child or adolescent while living in Germany, between 1939 and 1943, consisting of clippings from German newspapers of the era, reporting on wartime events. Consisting of four separate numbered volumes, titled "Kriegstagesbuch," with handwritten annotations added by Wenzel from that time, the volumes report on German military advances from the invasion of Poland in September 1939 through the battle of Stalingrad in early 1943.

  3. van Leeuwen and de Groot family photographs

    The van Leeuwen and de Groot family photographs consist of pre-war and post-war photographs of Rachel (Chellie) van Leeuwen, her sister Elly, and their parents, Isaac van Leeuwen and Judith Degroot, in the Netherlands. The photographs are accompanied by photocopies with identification information provided by the donor's family.

    The Florence Hodel papers consists of photographic portraits, printed reports, correspondence, and clippings related to Hodel’s work as a member of the staff of the War Refugee Board and her post-war work on the International Monetary Fund. The portraits include graduation portraits of Hodel, portraits of Hodel and her sisters ca. wartime, portraits of Hodel taken in 1945, and portraits, ca. 1960, of Hodel in her office at the International Monetary Fund.   6. State Repatriation Office, County Branch in Częstochowa Państwowy Urząd Repatriacyjny. Oddział Powiatowy w Częstochowie (Sygn. 5)

    This collection contains the remnants of files from the Repatriation Office county branch in Częstochowa in 1945-1950; including telegrams, reports, questionnaires and registration books. Approximately 80 % of the preserved documents are registration books containing the data of each repatriate such as: where the given person came from, the dates of their arrival and departure, the destination, occupation, nationality, date of birth. Jews comprise a minority of these individuals.

  7. Collection of posters and prints from the area of Częstochowa Zbiór afiszy i druków z terenu Częstochowy (Sygn. 59)

    This collection contains posters and prints from the pre-war, wartime and postwar periods. Includes announcements issued by the German authorities with regulations directed to Polish people, farmers and workers for paying taxes, to report to work in Germany, and to work in Poland, etc. Contains several issues of Polish newspaper "Nowiny dla Polskiej Wsi" (April 1942, May-Dec.1943; Jan.-June 1944) with articles related to Katyń massacre, political situation, some are with antisemitic and anti-Bolshevik titles. The newspaper includes a list of Polish generals murdered in Katyń.

    Personal archives of Shay'keh Weiner (1912-1979) contains interviews, letters from Poland and Paris, biographical documents and personal papers, minutes of meetings of the World Headquarters of Hashomer Hatzair (1957-1969), correspondence with branches and representatives of the Hashomer Hatzair abroad.

  10. Amtsgericht Guttentag District Court of the Town of Dobrodzień Sąd Obwodowy w Dobrodzieniu (Sygn.584)

    This collection contains selected files from the German District Court in the town of Dobrodzień (Guttentag). Selected materials refer to the Roman-Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish religious communities. Contains statistical reports prepared at the behest of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter-Partei. (NSDAP), and the official German regulations issued for religious communities. The records were unprocessed and documents are in poor physical condition.

  16. Kornbluh family papers

    Consists of photographs, copyprints, and documents related to the experiences of the Kornbluh family. Includes a photograph of Rivke Kornbluh with her aunt, Tzivia Klein; post-war photographs taken in Bari, Italy; and a photograph of the yeshiva in Bari, circa 1946. Also includes a letter from Rivka written from the Satmar ghetto on May 7, 1944; a postcard from Nathan and Rivka from the Satmar ghetto, dated May 12, 1944; and a postcard from Berel Kornbluh, written from the "Waldsee" camp, dated July 25, 1944.

  17. Carl Lutz commemorative material

    Consists of a first-issue commemorative stamp and envelope, issued on September 29, 1999, featuring Swiss diplomat Carl Lutz. Also includes a post-war photographic print portrait of Lutz, and a printed program for a ceremony at George Washington University, dated March 3, 2014, at which Lutz was posthumously honored with the University's President's Medal for his work in Budapest in 1944.

    Consists of nine photographs taken by Sergeant Al Elias of the United States Army after the discovery of the Gardelegen atrocity. Includes photographs (some with captions on the verso) of victims, of American military personnel, and of the burial of bodies.

  19. Ruth Fischel correspondence

    Consists of one folder of correspondence between Ruth Fischel in Melbourne, Australia, and her distant relatives, Hermine Schwartz of Philadelphia, PA, and Annette Asher, of Atlanta, GA. In the letters, dated between 1947-1949, Ruth explained her family's Holocaust experiences, including the death of relatives in the Holocaust, her escape with her husband to Shanghai, life in wartime Shanghai, and receiving confirmation, in 1948, that her children had also been killed in the Holocaust. The letters also detail the Fischels' immigration to the United States in 1949.

  20. Certificate of compulsory contribution

    Certificate of compulsory contribution for the sum of 30 zloty by the German authorities in Warsaw; a sum of 100 million zloty was a penalty levied on the Polish population of the city of Warsaw and the vicinity for an attack by the underground on the German occupier; this certificate is a blank; in Polish; dated February 1944.
