    The Schumacher Collection is a collection of documents from the period 1933 -1945 compiled by Mr Schumacher. Mr. Schumacher, former procurator of a paper shop, was employed after 1945 at the Berlin Document Center (BDC). The files were sent to the Bavarian state archives via the BDC. The part accessible at the Wuerzburg State Archives consists of documents from district offices, municipalities and gendarmerie offices in the district of Lower Franconia. She recalls compulsory relocation of all Jews to Warsaw; deportation to Majdanek; the hanging of an eight-year-old girl; transfer to Auschwitz/Birkenau, then to a forced labor camp near Prague; constant hunger; a soldier who threw her bread; liberation by Soviet troops; returning to Mszczono?w; learning none of her family had survived; moving to ?o?dz?; marriage; her son's birth; and emigration to Israel, then to the United States two years later. Mrs. I. notes her strong belief in God and observance of the Jewish dietary laws.

In addition, the organization created name lists of Holocaust survivors still remaining in Europe, and of those who immigrated to Palestine/Israel.

    One letter, handwritten, 5 pages, dated 26 May 1946, from Sara Rudney, writing from the St. Ottilien displaced persons camp, to her brother-in-law, Saul Rudney, presumably in Baltimore, Maryland, asking from release from her halakhic obligations to marry him after the death of her husband during the Holocaust. In the letter, Sara Rudney describes the circumstances of the death of her husband, Moishe, at the age of 36 on 31 December 1944, in the Landsberg concentration camp, and notes that her rabbi has instructed her to obtain chalitzah from her brother-in-law.     The Harold Green photograph collection consists of a small photograph album depicting liberation scenes of the Ohrdruf concentration camp. According to an interior inscription the photographs are associated with the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon of the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division. The photographs were given to Harold Green by an unidentified friend and fellow WWII veteran.
