  1. Harold Geller collection

    Consists of the original ketubah for the marriage of Aron Gola, originally of Kielce, Poland, and Anna Czerkanska (alternatively Czarlonski), originally of Smargon, Poland, who married at the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp, Also includes the marriage registration document which was submitted to the Central Jewish Committee of Bergen-Belsen and a copy of a 2009 letter from the International Tracing Service providing information about the Holocaust experiences of the Golas. The ketubah dates the wedding as October 19, 1945, while the registration document lists is as February 19, 1946.

  2. Harold Gilman photographs

    The Harold Gilman photographs consist of photographs Harold Gilman took at the newly liberated Mauthausen concentration camp and Gusen sub-camp in May 1945. The photographs depict liberated prisoners, former guards, American soldiers, Austrian civilians, and buildings at Gusen and Mauthausen. The photographs show emaciated survivors, corpses, and scenes of summary punishment of former SS guards by their former prisoners and of American soldiers forcing Austrian civilians to dig mass graves for Holocaust victims. Most of the photographs are annotated by Gilman on the verso.

  3. Harold Goldstein photographs

    Consists of six photographs taken by Harold Goldstein, a member of the 45th Division of the United States Army, during World War II. Photographs depict a warehouse of Nazi plunder, German prisoners and Armistice Day in France, and a memorial service in Munich, Germany.

  4. Harold Green photograph collection

    The Harold Green photograph collection consists of a small photograph album depicting liberation scenes of the Ohrdruf concentration camp. According to an interior inscription the photographs are associated with the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon of the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division. The photographs were given to Harold Green by an unidentified friend and fellow WWII veteran.

  5. Harold J. Buckman photograph collection

    Photographs primarily depicting the Nordhausen concentration camp immediately following liberation, 1945. The photographs were acquired by Tec 5 Harold J. Buckman, who was a member of the US Army’s 750th Tank Battalion, 104th Infantry Division that participated in the liberation of the Nordhausen concentration camp on April 10, 1945.

  8. Harold Keith Thompson Collection

    Leaflets, newsletters, pamphlets, newspaper and periodical issues, clippings, correspondence, and writings, relating to fascist and other rightist political groups in the United States and Europe after World War II. Includes a few leftist publications. Indexes: Preliminary inventory. Box l0 of the collection contains miscellaneous material dealing with anti-semitism in the United States in the l950s, some issues of the American Nationalist and some material by and about the American Nazi Party and George Lincoln Rockwell.

  10. Harold Lawrence collection

    Documents and photographs relating to Harold Lawrence’s experiences of Kitchener Camp. These include the transcript of an interview conducted by Lawrence’s son.

    The collection consists of paintings, drawings, sketches, publications, prints and photographs relating to the artist Harold Lehman and his experiences in the United States before, during, and after World War II.

    Videotape testimony of Harold M., who was born in New York City in 1923.   13. Harold Minuskin family collection

    The collection consists of two Russian ruble coins and a HIAS pin relating to the experiences of Shanke (Sonia) Minuskin, her husband Shlamke, and their two children, Henikel and Kalmanke, while living in hiding in Bialowieza Forest in Poland and Belarus during the Holocaust and in Zeilsheim displaced persons camp in Germany after World War II.

  14. Harold Minuskin family collection

    The collection consists of a billfold, currency, documents, oral history compact discs, photographs, and postcards relating to the experiences of Shlamke and Shanke Orlinsky Minuskin, their two young sons, Henikel (Harold) and Kalmanke, and their extended families in prewar Zhetel, Poland, in the Zhetel ghetto and the surrounding forests with the partisans during the Holocaust, and as refugees in Germany and then the United States after the war, and a billfold, day planner, and photographs relating to the experiences of Lew Minuskin who was in Siberia during the war.

  15. Harold Oram collection

    Collection illustrating the direct mail campaign efforts for the organization Citizens Committee on Displaced Persons. Harold Oram created direct mail fundraising for the Committee. Collection consists of several examples of the fund raising and public relations pieces that were sent by the Committee to not only garner support for displaced persons who remained in camps in Europe awaiting emigration, but to raise funds under the signature of Earl G. Harrison and William S. Bernard (secretary of the committee).

  17. Harold Pearson liberation photographs

    Consists of 46 photographs, some duplicates, taken by Harold Pearson, a member of the United States Army. The photographs are possibly of the Belsen concentration camp after liberation.

  18. Harold R. Holocaust testimony

    Videotape testimony of Harold R., who was born in 1923 and drafted into the United States Army in 1943. He recounts deployment to North Africa, then Italy; training in a medical laboratory; moving through to France to Germany; entering Dachau after lits liberation; observing malnourished and sick prisoners; corpses stacked "like wood"; testing prisoners for typhus, and leaving after a short time. He shows photographs taken at Dachau.

    Videotape testimony of Harold R., who was born in Fürth, Germany in 1922, the older of two brothers.   20. Harold Reichenthal collection

    The Harold Reichenthal collection consists of an undated letter (postmarked June 1938) from Isser Reichenthal in Berlin to Jack Cohen (or Cohn) in Schenectady, New York, requesting affidavits for his daughter, Dorothea (Reichenthal) Graf and her husband Ernst Graf. Also includes the envelope in which the letter was mailed.
