    5 Kranz-platten (photos printed on wood) depicting Adolf Hitler during party conventions and conferences in the company of elite NSDAP-members. Included is also a metal plaque which was attached to the original frames, indicating the name of the company that took/framed the photos.

    • The Great Governorate of Posavje

    Velika Župa was the highest regional authority in the Independent State of Croatia. It was responsible only to the Poglavnik Ante Pavelić, who personally named its leader, and to the respective state ministries. Velika Župa Posavje was founded on 10 June 1941 with the seat in the contemporary town of Slavonski Brod and continued to function until 1945. Velika Župa Posavje included the administrative units (kotar) of Bijeljina, Brčko, Brod na Savi, Derventa, Gradačac and Županja.     This collection consists of: a post-war photo of resistance fighter and political prisoner Henri Dewindt, 15 medals received by Henri Dewindt post-war, three political prisoner bracelets worn by Henri Dewindt during post-war manifestations, a gold pin created by Dominique Labordery for the association of former political prisoners in Mechelen, a photo of the combined pins, and a newspaper clipping from Het Laatste Nieuws regarding a New Year’s reception for former political prisoners in 1987.

  9. Give Them a Face (France) portrait collection. Collection

    This collection contains over 4,200 portraits of Jewish men, women and children from Belgium, whom have been deported from the French camps Drancy, Angers, Beaune-la-Rolande, Compiègne, Pithiviers and Lyon, to Auschwitz-Birkenau, Sobibor, Maidanek and Kaunas between March 1942 and August 1944. Among the deportees, four groups can be distinguished : persons that had lived in Belgium and whom had emigrated to France legally before the beginning of the war, persons that fled from Belgium to France in May 1940 or afterwards, children born out of these refugees in France and persons arrested by ...

    This collection contains photos of the Rajter family, including: passport photos and wedding photos of Estera Rajter and Abram Ciechanow, photos of Estera Rajter and Abram Ciechanow with their son Willy Rajter (Ciechanow), a photo of Willy Rajter (Marks) and his mother Gitla Rajter, and wartime photos of Willy Rajter while housed at the Baron de Castro children’s home led by the Association of Jews in Belgium.

  12. Rachel Rottersman correspondence with Grace Cohen Grossman

    Correspondence from Rachel Rottersman, a social worker who had worked with UNRRA at displaced persons camps in Germany following World War II, and Dr. Grace Cohen Grossman, curator at the Spertus Museum in Chicago, dating from 1979-1980. The correspondence largely deals with requests from Rottersman regarding research about a mass grave near Baumholder, Germany; efforts to recognize a Polish couple, Victor and Ludmila Gromadski, as "Righteous Among the Nations" by Yad Vashem; and proposals to interview people who Rottersman knew from the displaced persons camps where she had worked.

  13. Rudolf Kovacs collection

    Two adhesive labels used with medicines prescribed exclusively for Jews. The labels were given to the donor by his brother Leo Kovacs.

    The collection consists of a prayer book stand from the Neologist Synagogue of Horea Street, and a wooden cabinet from the Chancellery of the former local Jewish High School.

    The collection consists of envelopes found in a German bunker by an American soldier while serving in Europe.

    The collection consists of artwork photoreproductions created by George Salton documenting his experiences during the Holocaust. The images were produced to illustrate his memoir "The 23rd Psalm."
