  1. Vera Meisels collection

    The collection consists of a sculpture, The Lost Child, created by Vera Meisels in the postwar period and photographs relating to the experiences of Vera and her family in Presov, Czechoslovakia, and in Theresienstadt concentration camp before, during, and after the Holocaust. Some of these materials may be combined into a single collection in the future.

  2. Peretz Chorshati collection

    The collection consists of drawings created by Peretz Chorshati in the 1990s about his experiences as a soldier, forced laborer, and refugee in Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, and Poland during the Holocaust, and his voyage to and detention in Palestine after the Holocaust.

    The collection consists of artifacts and photographs relating to the experiences of Edward Henry, a chaplain in the United States Army during World War II in England and France, where his unit participated in the liberation of Paris.

  4. Steven Fenves collection

    The collection consists of a booklet, medallion, and photograph commemorating the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora concentration camps on April 11, 2010, received by Steven Fenves, who was a child inmate at Buchenwald when it was liberated in April 1945.

    The collection consists of patches, pins, dog tags, a medal, boxes, documents, and photographs relating to the experiences of David C.   6. Peter R. Black research collection

    Consists of correspondence, interview transcripts, notes, memoir materials, and other research materials gathered by Peter R. Black in preparation for his 1981 Columbia University PhD dissertation, "Ideological Commitment and Personal Politics in the Third Reich: The Case of Ernst Kaltenbrunner."   7. Boris Schachnes family collection

    Collection of photographs and documents relating to the Schachnes family in Berlin until 1938, in Warsaw between December 1938 and December 1939, Istanbul, Turkey and Palestine since March 1941. Three audio tapes: interview with Boris Uri Schachnes. Erna and Abram Schachnes joined their children Boris and Wladimir in Palestine c. 1942. Wladimir and Boris fought in the War of Independence in the Givati Brigade; Wladimir Zeev Schachnes was killed in action on May 13, 1948.

  8. Jewish Community of Thessaloniki collection

    The collection consists of two tombstone fragments from the Jewish cemetery in Thessaloniki, Greece, which was destroyed in December 1942 during the German occupation.

    The collection consists of medals, medallions, bar pins, cases, certificates, an oral history, documents, photographs and CDs with songs in Ladino relating to the experiences of Jamila Kolonomos and her family in Bitola, Yugoslavia before and during the Holocaust, her time as a partisan fighter, and of Jamila and her husband in Skopje, Yugoslavia. Some of these materials may be combined into a single collection in the future.

  12. Alice and Peter Masters collection

    The collection consists of pajamas, an autograph book, correspondence, documents, drawings, and photographs relating to the experiences of Alice Ebserstark and her family during the Holocaust in Czechoslovakia and Great Britain and after the war in Great Britain and the United States. It also contains documents on the German Army collected by Peter Masters when he served in the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps in the UK and 3rd Troop 10th Commando in France and Germany. Some of these materials may be combined into a single collection in the future.

  17. Henry Himmelfarb collection

    The collection consists of a prisoner badge and copy and photographic prints relating to the experiences of Chaim (Henry) Himmelfarb before and after the war in Germany and as a concentration camp inmate in Germany during the Holocaust.

  18. Mark Hochman collection

    Documents illustrating and describing the experiences of Mark Hochman, born in Podhorany, Czechoslovakia [present-day Ukraine] who was interned in various forced labor camps during the Holocaust. Included are post-war affidavits of birth and employment in Podhorany, Czechoslovakia, Czech driver’s license and police document [potentially residential]. Also included in the collection is an application for reparations from the Claims Conference, dated 1993. Two cassette tapes, recorded interview with Mark Hochman, one labeled “Interview/Mark Hochman/Louis Rosenkranz/1989”.

  19. John Bole collection

    The collection consists of four drawings, a cap, a pouch, a finger ring, and documents relating to the experiences of Ivan Bole (later John Bole) during the Holocaust in Buchenwald concentration camp, and after the Holocaust in displaced persons camps in Italy and Germany.

  20. Feiga Scheer collection

    The collection consists of a dress, a book, and documents relating to the experiences of Feiga Moszkowicz Scheer and her family in Poland before and during the Holocaust which they survived by living in hiding and after the Holocaust in Poland, France, Canada, and the United States. Some of these materials may be combined into a single collection in the future.
