    The Izac Holcman papers document Izac Holcman’s military career and biographical background. Documents pertaining to his military career include his Armed Forces passport and a translation of the contents within.   17. Izak and Marthe Weber collection

    Documents, correspondence, photographs and an oral history illustrating the experiences, primarily of Izak Weber, born in Skole, Poland in 1910, who studied medicine in Paris and remained there through WWII. Included in the collection are numerous documents surrounding Izak's medical education and intern work in Paris, his eventual internment in Drancy transit camp in December 1942 near Paris from which he escaped, marriage documentation and identification cards for Izak and his wife Marte, as well as documentation to practice medicine in Argentina after the war and correspondence from fami...

  18. Izak and Pepi Altenhaus Letter

    Contains a letter written by Izak and Pepi Altenhaus (donor's parents) in Belgium, stating that they were being transported. The letter was thrown from train and picked up and posted by someone else. Also includes a scrap of return address and note in envelope.

  19. Izak and Rachel Herzhaft collection

    Contains photographs illustrating the experiences of Rachel Moskowitz, born in the small Carpathian town "Behutz" in Hungary/Czech area of Slovakia and Izak Herzhaft from Rutke, Poland (Galicia). Izak escaped and ended up in Budapest. Rachel moved to Budapest and both were on the Kasztner train in Bergen-Belsen then Switzerland, eventually moving to Palestine where they married.

  20. Izak and Rywa Manski and Gitl Rozenzweig families collection

    The collection consists of a fork, knife, spoon, correspondence, and documents relating to the experiences of Izak and Rywa Manski and their three children during the Holocaust when they left Lida, Poland, and via Japan, finally reaching Seattle, Washington, on May 7, 1941, and documents, a photograph, and a prayer book relating to the experiences of Gitl Rozenzweig in Lida, Poland, and Israel.
