Scope and Content
Taffi reports Maglione that both the Bolivian government and the public opinion are against the possibility of letting Italian and German Jews entering the country. Taffi explains that a first group of thousands of Jewish immigrants provoked a housing and employment crisis. Taffi also says that it is impossible to offer them working positions in catholic institutes or in the public administration.
