Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Częstochowie, Poland, Sygn.399. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2015.

Scope and Content

Records of the Armia Krajowa (AK), the Inspectorate in Częstochowa. Documents relate to organizational matters and orders of the Home Army Headquarters, quartermaster’s orders, military problems, budget, financial settlements, financial reports, and contain lists of the sanitation equipment. The collection also contains documents on AK Women's Military Service, the Warsaw insurgents, and guerrilla troops.

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved on the digital images. The original records are in a very poor condition, some individual cards are damaged, almost illegible.
