The sweater was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1991 by Blanka Winkler.

Scope and Content

Knitted in a labor camp near Riga by a fellow inmate of Blanka Winkler who found socks on the way to forced labor. She unraveled the yarn from the socks and knitted the sweater.
