Biographical History
The Union members were Jewish people, former soldiers who served in the Lithuanian army in 1918-1923, and participated in the battles for Lithuanian independence. The Union organized for its members clubs, courses, companies, sports and artistic circles, lectures, published and distributed publications, provideed its members with legal and medical assistance, and defended their rights, organized excursions, maintained contacts with other organizations.

Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Lietuvos centrinis valstybės archyvas (Lithuanian Central State Archives), Fond. 593. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2014.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of minutes of the board meetings, questionnaires filled out by the members of the organization, lists of members, orders, circular letters, correspondence with branch offices and various Lithuanian government offices, financial documents and award certifications.

Arranged in two series: 1. Šiauliai city sections; 2. Kaunas city sections. Organized chronologically.
