Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Częstochowie, Poland, Sygn. 597. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2014.

Scope and Content

This collection contains selected records of the Mijaczów Steel Foundry and Machine Works facility in Myszków, Poland. Included are the land layouts and machinery layouts, insurance documents, and official correspondence of the steel factory.

System of Arrangement

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved on the microfilm reels. Arranged in four series: 1.Technical and insurance documents of the factory, 1934; 2. Registers of the factory buildings and machinery: "Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych Sp-cy Franciszki Baueretz”, 1939; 3. Estimates of the factory, 1942 ; 4. Official correspondence, 1943-1944.
