Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Częstochowie, Poland, Sygn. 315. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2014.

Scope and Content

This collection contains official correspondence related to the relief for Jewish inhabitants of Czestochowa, as well as applications for the allowance of foreign currency for family members of prisoners sent to concentration camps.

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved on the microfilm reels. Arranged in four series: 1. Jewish companies in Czestochowa. Official correspondence, 1939-1944; 2. Individual cases. Applications for support and grants, 1939-1944; 3. Applications for the allocation of foreign exchange made by families of prisoners in concentration camps, 1942; 4. Individual and collective matters concerning Jews: support, grants, fines, official fees, 1940-1944.
