Scope and Content
German propaganda poster designed by Künstlerbund, Karlsruhe A.G. and published by Gaupropagandaleitung Baden der NSDAP (District Baden Propaganda Line of the NSDAP) in 1934. The poster was designed O. Rinne, possibly a pseudonym for German Art Deco artist, Felix Rinne. The poster shows an oversized man wearing the shirt, jodhpurs, and armband from a Nazi Sturmabteilung (SA) uniform preparing to confront a group of affluent men at a table decorated with a Nazi banner. He is rolling up his sleeves and getting ready to work, while the men are leisurely talking at the table instead of working. In addition to printing posters during World War II, Künstlerbund, Karlsruhe A.G. printed maps for the German military.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Color lithographic poster printed on off-white paper adhered to a white linen backing. The image depicts an oversized man standing over a smaller, round table with seven middle-aged men sitting at it, all against a blue background. The man is standing with his legs spread apart, and wearing the brown jodhpurs and a brown button-up, long-sleeved shirt of a Sturmabteilung (SA) uniform. He is holding a (SA) Sam Brown Belt in his left hand and is rolling up the sleeve on his left arm. The rolled fabric covers most of a red, swastika armband. The men around the table are wearing business suits with ascots and ties while smoking cigars and drinking beer and champagne. A small Nazi banner hanging from a gold stand sits in the center of the table. Large German text in Fraktur-style font is printed in the top left corner and in a black banner along the bottom. The surface of the poster is discolored and stained throughout. There are several small losses and tears in the upper right corner.
