Scope and Content
One "Arbeitsbuch" issued to a Polish worker of German ancestry, in Kattowitz (Katowice), 1940. The worker, Anton Wilda, was born in Domb (Dąb) in 1893, and was employed in the coal mining industry of that region. During the period of this document, he appeared to have been employed "Steinkohlenbergwerk Max," and lived in Michalkowitz (present day Siemianowice Śląskie). His permit shows him to have acquired German citizenship through his ancestry, following German occupation of this region.
