Archival History

The stove was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1989 by Emilie Boit.

Scope and Content

Small portable cooking stove brought back from the Gurs internment camp by one of the refugee families. The rectangular metal stoves had a grill on top, a receptacle to make the fire in, a small drawer underneath for the ashes and a little chimney pipe.
