Biographical History

Gheorge Cioaba was a Bulibasha, a chief of the Romanian nomadic group Calderai. He was deported to Transnistria in 1942 where he was in "Trei Duble, Burilovka and Kransianka."

Archival History

The shirt was acquired by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1989.
