The tympanum was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1993 by Michal Kovac, President of the Republic of Slovakia.

Scope and Content
Ornamental stone from above the entrance to the 1872 synagogue of Vrable, Slovakia, inscribed with Psalm 118, verse 19. The Jews of Vrable were deported to Auschwitz in 1944 by Hungarian forces allied with Nazi Germany. The abandoned synagogue deteriorated and was demolished in the 1970s by the communist government of Czechoslovakia.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Triangular, mottled pink and brown marble slab, with the lower section forming a rectangular shaped base. Engraved in the center in a triangular pattern are 3 lines of Hebrew text. It is enclosed in a wooden mount.
