Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Szczecinie (State Archvie in Szczecin). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Dec. 2013.
Scope and Content
Contains selected records from the State Archive in Szczecin, records originate from the towns Sianów, Myslibórz, and Łowicz ( county Lębork), files of the Oberpräsident von Pommern (bulk 1933-1934), and Regierungspräsident Stettin (bulk 1933-1943). Includes lists of Jews, records relating to religious matters, Jewish parties and organizations (Haszomer Hacair, Poalej Syjon, Mizrachi), Jewish schools, social welfare, health care; the weekly „Tygodnik Informacyjny”, and „Nasze słowo” Nr. 1. , 1946; German orders and regulation; anti-Jewish demonstration and boycott of Jewish shops, a list of forbidden authors and books, orders concerning the elimination of Jews from the German economic life, displacement of Poles,1940-1942; escapes of POW, administration of camps, and forced laborers,1939-1944. Also includes postwar materials related to the so-called „productivity of Jews,” including lists of craft cooperatives and collective farms, and Jewish artists.

Urząd Wojewódzki Szczeciński, 1945-1950 (Provincial Office of Szczecin); 6. Regierungspräsident Stettin,1801-1945 (Government President in Szczecin); 7. Akta miasta Myślibórz (Records of the town Myślibórz).
