Source of acquisition is the Archivo di Stato di Ferrara (State Archive of Ferrara), Italy. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in Nov. 2013.
Scope and Content
This collection contains records from the Police in Ferrara and Prefecture Cabinet Series of Ferrara relating to personal files of Jews, questionnaire on the status of Jews in the province of Ferrara, racial laws, arrests of Jews, Jewish property and Jewish schools, and discrimination against Jewish residents.

The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in digital files. Arranged by two series: Series 1, Questura di Ferrara, Serie Gabinetto; Series 2, Prefettura di Ferrara, Serie Gabinetto.
