Scope and Content

Collection contains information regarding the donor's husband, David Kaplan, and his displaced persons status after the Holocaust. A survivor of Auschwitz, in the photographs, David Kaplan is seen wearing his camp uniform, and documents stating that he was a political prisoner and assigned a prisoner number. The documentation states that Kaplan was hired by the U.S. Army and the photographs show him with his batallion.
