Acquisition

Donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2016 by Inge Roman. Kathi Speier was her paternal aunt.

Scope and Content

Consists of prewar photographs, including some documenting the emigration of family to New York in 1938; and correspondence, most of which was sent by Ludwig Sommer from S. Rhodesia and Capetown, South Africa, addressed to Berthold Speir in New York.
