Acquisition
The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2004 by Anita Plachte Sockol, Ludwig Plachte's daughter.
Scope and Content
Consists of 33 pre-war photographs of the Plachte family, originally of Berlin, Germany. The family fled to Holland in April 1938 and immigrated to the United States in September, 1938. The majority of the photographs were taken in Germany.
