Source of acquisition is the Landesgericht Wiener Neustadt (Regional Court in Wiener Neustadt), Lower Austria. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in June 2020.
Scope and Content
Postwar court records of Nazi-related cases in the district court in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. The collection includes following cases: Vr 229/92 Otto Merich; Vr.517/74 Franz Kandler; Vr 671/72 Erwin Johann Schober, and StA Wiener Neustadt Bruno Eggerth.

Kreisgericht (KG) Wiener Neustadt Vr 229/92 gg. den ehemaligen Gestapobeamten Dr. Otto MERICH (Beteiligung an NS-Gewaltverbrechen als Angehöriger der Dienststelle des Kommandeurs der Sicherheitspolizei und des SD Rouen in den Jahren 1940 bis 1944) [ one file]; 2. Kreisgericht (KG) Wiener Neustadt Vr 229/92 gg. Franz KANDLER (Beteiligung an Einzel- und Massentötungen in Cherson, Beryslaw, Schyroka Balka und anderen Orten in der Ukraine als Gendarmerie-Gebietsführer von Cherson) [one file]; 3. Kreisgericht (KG) Wiener Neustadt Vr 671/72 gg. Erwin Johann SCHOBER (Beteiligung an der Aussonderung und Exekution von sowjetischen Kriegsgefangenen in den Jahren 1941 bis 1943 im Kriegsgefangenendurchgangslager 240 (Dulag 240) in Smolensk, Russland) [one file]; 4. Staatsanwaltschaft (StA) Wiener Neustadt 6 St gg. Bruno EGGERTH (Erschießung eines Häftlings namens "Boris" Ende März/Anfang April 1945 ("Endphaseverbrechen") als Angehöriger der Gestapo-Außendienststelle Wiener Neustadt) [one file].
