Handmade enclosure for correspondence, with the Czech word for letters sewn on the cover owned by Gerd and Alice Fischl Gerstmann. The cover is part of a collection documenting the experiences of Alice Fischl Gerstmann, Gerd Gerstmann, and their families in Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Palestine before, during, and after the Holocaust. Alice Fischl, who fled from Czechoslovakia, and Gerd Gerstmann, who fled from Germany, both immigrated to Palestine where they met and married.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Bifold, dark-colored, cloth-covered, cardboard enclosure for correspondence. Uppercase, discolored, white cloth letters are stitched diagonally across the front. The edges are worn throughout, and there are traces of adhesive on the interior.
